Lockheed Martin Inspector supporting - JASSM Second Shift in Troy, Alabama

This position supports JASSM second shift. Second shift personnel currently receive a 6% shift differential above their current wage, and as an inspector, they receive $0.50 per hour adder for their first 40 hours of work.

Dedicated Inspectors use predetermined methods, operations, setups, and prescribed specifications/Manufacturing Process Plans (MPP) to inspect visually in-process and completed products such as electronic units and subsystems, precision electromechanical assemblies or mechanical units, subassemblies, structural flaws, internal defects. They also use various mechanical measuring devices. Inspectors accept/reject product/material to established criteria. They work to and follow written MPPs or other approved written work instructions, as well as, coordinate and document defects with the program Quality Engineer and supervision. In addition, they may monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

Basic Qualifications • Strong attention to details; must be detail-oriented; accuracy of work is essential. • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and support business needs. • Good written and oral communication skills. • Ability to quickly learn multi-inspection/verification methods and requirements. • Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision. • Must have good work habits, including being in the work area and on the job during all scheduled work periods. • Exceptional teaming skills and ability to get along with others in creating a positive work environment. • Must have acceptable attendance record to include daily start and stop times. An attendance review of the previous rolling calendar year will be conducted. • Possess organizational skills. • Demonstrate ability to lift up to 40 pounds. • Work in heat/cold and/or wet/dry conditions. • Keep Quality and Program management apprised of all discrepancies that could impact schedules. • Minimum Interim Secret Clearance level required to start. • High School Diploma or GED required. • Successful completion of AIDT Training required
