LifePoint Health Office Manager FT for Physicians' Practice in Selma, Alabama

Manages overall daily functions of the Clinic. Ensures prompt scheduling and follow-up of patients. Provides assistance to staff when needed. Maintains all referrals and authorizations for patients. Responsible for supervision of staff. Ensures compliance with all office policies and procedures. Conducts performance evaluations on employees.

Education: Bachelor of Science in business or healthcare related field preferred or equivalent experience in hospital or outpatient business office settings.

Experience: Prior medical office management and supervisory experience. Knowledgeable to insurance and billing guidelines. Experience with establishing and implementing office policies and procedures.

Skills: Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to determine appropriate course of action in more complex situations. Ability to work independently, exercise creativity, be attentive to detail, and maintains a positive attitude. Ability to manage multiple and simultaneous responsibilities and to prioritize scheduling of work. Ability to maintain confidentiality of all medical, financial, and legal information. Ability to complete work assignments accurately and in a timely manner. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to handle difficult situations involving patients, physicians, or others in a professional manner. Ability to manage employees as well as work efficiently with many different disciplines within the hospital and medical community. Computer Proficiency – General knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Software and familiarity with use of Word, development of Excel spreadsheets and use of Outlook for scheduling.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods, walk at least 8 hours per day, lift/carry 50 pounds, hear alarms and telephone rings, distinguish colors, perform repetitive tasks/motions, have good eye/hand/foot coordinate, and have clear vision at 20 or more feet with or without vision corrective device.
