CSRA is seeking a System/Network/Cloud Engineer to support the milCloud® 2.0 program. The selected candidate will oversee deployment, operations, and sustainment for the duration of the contract and interface with DISA technical SMEs.
CSRA has deployed its own on premise Cloud solution into the DoD data centers. CSRA is operating this Cloud to support DoD Mission Partners meet their Cloud requirements. This approach ensures that (1) DoD Mission Partners can easily directly migrate or support migration efforts for the broad array of complex military applications that would benefit from our Cloud offerings and (2) can evolve with the pace of technology and is not locked into a specific OEM provider.
The System/Cloud Engineer will be responsible for deploying and maintaining our cloud based solution including configuring, operating, and maintaining the milCloud® 2.0 platform. As a hands-on Architect and Engineer, you will work within a team of Engineers to design and implement milCloud 2.0®. This role will assist in developing maintaining technical architectures, design documents, and operational requirements and hands on configuration in a Linux environment.
As the selected Systems/Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for the following (not limited to):
Coordinate and/or perform additions and changes to network hardware and operating systems, and attached devices; includes investigation, analysis, recommendation, configuration, installation, and testing of new network hardware and software.
Provide direct support in the day-to-day operations on network hardware and operating systems, including the evaluation of system utilization, monitoring response time and primary support for detection and correction of operational problems.
Troubleshoot at the physical level of the network, working with network measurement hardware and software, as well as physical checking and testing of hardware devices at the logical level working with communication protocols.
Maintain network infrastructure standards including network communication protocols such as TCP/IP.
Provide technical consultation, training and support to IT staff.
Organize and direct the configuration and operation of information management systems.
Provide the day-to-day system administration to include system and resource optimization, and user assistance.
Conduct capacity and performance analysis, and provides system configuration change and upgrade recommendations.
Increase system administrator efficiency and accuracy via the use of automated tools and scripts, develops system administrator procedures, and conducts system administrator training and skills assessment.
Supervise and manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of business systems which may be mainframe, mini, or client/server based.
Optimize system operation and resource utilization, and performs system capacity analysis and planning.
Provide assistance to users in accessing and using business systems.
Experience in one of the following Cloud environments: Azure, AWS, ARC-P, milCloud®
Hardware: Converged Infrastructure
Software: VMware, ERP
Data Centers Experience
Hardware Maintenance and Troubleshooting
High Availability Systems
Database: Oracle, SAP
Security: RMF, DIACAP, IA Operations, STIG
Virtual Desktop / Networks / Operating Environments
8570 IAT Level 1
Clearance: Active Secret
BA/BS in a technical discipline (e.g. Information Technology, Science, Engineering) with at least 5 years of relevant experience
Defense, DISA Experience
Experience in any of the following Cloud environments: Microsoft Azure, Infrastucture as a Service, Platform as a Service, Software as a Service, Storage as a Service
Advanced degree in an information technology discipline
