Respiratory Therapist, RRT or CRT
- The Certified Respiratory Therapist performs duties involved with the treatment, management control, and diagnostic evaluation and care of patients with deficiencies and/or abnormalities within the Pulmonary system.
Education/Experience: Valid license from the Alabama State Board of Respiratory Therapy and Certified Respiratory Therapist through the National Board of Respiratory Care "or" Graduate therapist with a temporary license from the Alabama State Board of Respiratory. Must obtain RRT within 12 months in position.
License/Certification required: Graduate therapist must obtain Certified Respiratory Therapist credential through the National Board for Respiratory Care within 3 months in position. Must obtain permanent license from the Alabama State Board of Respiratory Therapy within 30 days of obtaining the Certified Respiratory Therapist credential. ACLS, and PALS are preferred. NRP certification for those qualified to work in the NICU required.

Must possess excellent organizational and communication skills.
Must have the ability to successfully complete work within rigid time constraints.
Must possess reasoning ability and good independent judgment.
