Copper River Information Technology Project Manager in Montgomery, Alabama

Overview

Support the Air Force Civil Engineering (CE) Information Technology (IT) Systems Program Management Office (PMO) with project management duties.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outputs, which may take the form of information, advice, opinions, alternatives, analyses, evaluations, or recommendations to complement the Government’s technical expertise in accomplishing its initiatives

  • Deliver quick response to stringent deadlines and shall require, in some instances, a technical, operational, or other senior leadership background to provide expert advice, opinion, alternative solutions, analysis, management, and other activities to effectively perform in the acquisition support role

  • Develop briefings, studies, and/or analysis for CE IT systems as directed by the government

  • Update Project Management Resource Tool (PMRT) and Information Technology Investment Portfolio System (ITIPS)

  • Utilize Active Risk Manager (ARM)

  • Perform program risk management analysis

  • Provide engineering assessments, analyses, reviews, evaluations and recommendations pertaining to risk management strategies and plans, which will be used to identify, analyze, mitigate, track and control risks throughout the life cycle

Qualifications

  • Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of project management experience

  • Required Knowledge/Experience:

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience

  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge around industry trends and best practices; ability to apply Government Agency knowledge to creatively position and promote innovative solutions

  • Possess desire to learn, grow and become a leader within the technology industry

  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills with the appropriate energy

  • Ability to effectively strategize with the management team

  • Ability to manage conflict, to build and maintain excellent relationships with colleagues, partners, and clients

Other Responsibilities

  • Perform other tasks consistent with the goals and objectives of the department/contract

  • Perform other duties as assigned by Project Manager
