Select Medical Physical Therapist Assistant - Inpatient Jackson Hospital PRN - Montgomery AL in Montgomery, Alabama

Rehab Association/Jackson Hospital in Montgomery, AL is seeking PRN - Per Diem Physical Therapist Assistant sto provide coverage within an inpatient setting.

Physical Therapist Assistant will assist with weekend coverage at Jackson Hospital providing acute care (inpatient) PT services on a weekend rotation of 1-2 weekends a month with more available upon request. Experience is preferred, but new graduates are welcome. Current BLS certification as a healthcare provider, annual compliance training and TB skin test will be required to meet Joint Commission accreditation standards.

Hours Needed: 8 hours needed on Saturdays and occasional Sundays for weekend rotation for patient care Jackson Hospital Inpatient division

We do not offer medical benefits if you are working less than 32 hours in a week, but we can discuss your participation in local CEU accrediting courses once you are on board.

  • Implements, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures.

  • Develops treatment plans, supervises assistants and aides, contributes to case management, and provides quality patient care.

  • Maintains positive level of interaction with facilities and clients. Enhances and expands client relations with facilities and their staff.

  • Must be a graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) accredited school of physical therapy assistant.

  • Valid State Physical Therapy Assistant License/ Registration REQUIRED to start.
