U.S. Bank CQA Compliance Testing Analyst – Payment Services in Montgomery, Alabama
The successful candidate will conduct testing for Payment Services’ compliance with applicable federal laws and regulations, as well as the adequacy of internal controls. Candidate will develop comprehensive testing plans, determine representative sample selections, execute plans timely, document findings and recommend corrective action when deficiencies are noted. The candidate will provide ongoing support to assigned business units and functions.
Develop and implement a risk-based compliance approach for assigned areas of expertise.
Plan scope and execute regulatory testing of assigned business unit
Compile work papers that effectively document test steps, including test objectives, findings, issues, and conclusions
Responsible for ongoing oversight of area of expertise to ensure the overall compliance program is fully implemented, comprehensive, and meets regulatory expectations as well as ensuring policies, procedures and RCSA process is implemented and active within the business line FLOD (first line of defense) testing.
Gather and analyze data to provide feedback to management regarding testing results
Identify and investigate activity that can be indicative of compliance problems and escalate as necessary, including recommending practical solutions
Work closely with other key functions such as corporate compliance, enterprise risk management, audit or business supervisory functions
Keep abreast of applicable State / Federal laws and regulatory compliance issues through reading and researching applicable publications, news service articles, and external training
Exercise sound judgment and ensure integrity of confidential information
Work in a fast paced, constantly changing environment to identify and analyze business risks and problem solve, prioritize, and take initiatives
Keep senior and executive management fully informed of negative findings, trends or systemic issues identified through testing
Author reports summarizing findings and recommended corrective action to senior and executive management
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
Five to seven years of experience in an applicable risk management environment
Applicable professional certifications
Advanced knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends that impact their assigned line of business
Advanced understanding of the business line’s operations, products/services, systems, and associated risks/controls
Advanced knowledge of Risk/Compliance/Audit competencies
Strong process facilitation, project management, and analytical skills
Must possess business acumen and credibility to help business line(s) proactively identify and address changing workforce needs
Excellent presentation, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages, including Microsoft Office applications and word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations
